The bench

Step
1 / 4

Where the colour comes from.

Drop a .cube file

A 3D LUT · up to a 33 grid, up to 4MB.

How fast is it

The number on the box, and the grain the lab develops with · the same way it works on our own stocks.

Black and white

Exported a preset from Lightroom? An .xmp will not develop here · export it as a .cube from Lightroom, Photoshop or Resolve instead.

Lab physics

Four dials the lab develops with. The tick under each one is where our own film sits · leave them there and this stock develops exactly as it would have before.

50

Red spilling around a bright edge, the way it does off the back of real film.

50

How far the highlights veil and soften into what is next to them.

0

How far the corners fall away. The lab adds none of this on its own.

0

Colour separating towards the corners, the way a fast lens does wide open.

Right click a node in Resolve, Export Grade, and drop the .drx here. We read the numbers off it and keep nothing.
